WIN NUMBER FIVE

Win number five. This last weekend The Astronomer's Sun took joint win at the Santa Fe Film Festival, NM, USA.
The jury liked the cinematic feel of the film. The unity of color design. The attention to the sound design and as in New York the bear, with questions over whether he'd be coming back.
As part of the festival the film played in touring venues and in a series of art galleries including Chuck Jones notching up 20 individual screenings during the festival ending with a Q&A. The film's success was announced at Val Kilmer's NM ranch in beautiful Fall weather.

Back in New York

Peter travelled to New York to see the screening of The Astronomer's Sun as it played the opening night of New York's Imagine Science Film Festival. A week long event dedicated to films with real or imagined science connection. "One of the best venues and screening events I've attended. There was a real buzz and an evening of films all with great concepts or ideas informing their reality." A number of my family travelled to the festival which coincided with the end of John Lennon's 70th Birthday week.
